HOW TO OBTAIN A COLOR PATCH FOR YOUR BERET

If you are a FN, PFN, CCC, Marshal or a FDM.  To obtain a color patch for your beret you simply send an email to:  [email protected].

Include the following information in the message:

1. Please contact our Faithful Admiral, see contact below, or [email protected] .
2. You will need a Form 4 that is filled out and needs the signature of the Financial Secretary of your council. If you have a sponsor please have them sign it as well. If you do not have a sponsor then one of our officers will be more than happy to sponsor.
3. You will then be interviewed by our officers on a designated date/time.
4. Your final step will be to attend and complete the 4th Degree Exemplification. These are held at different times during the year usually in the spring and fall at one of the churches in or around the Houston area. You may also attend an exemplification outside the area as well, you just need to complete the steps above and coordinate your registration with the host Assembly. (We recommend highly you purchase the sword package)
5. Once you have become a Sir Knight you can attend our next monthly business meeting to receive your certificate and official Assembly welcome.
6. At this time we hope you will complete your 4th Degree by purchasing the approved uniform.
    

The new apparel consists of:  a blue blazer, embroidered with the 4th degree emblem; gray slacks; 4th degree necktie; black beret with 4th degree emblem flash; white shirt (not buttoned down collar) at a current cost of $449. The ceremonial swords will continue to be part of the uniform (no white gloves).
NOT INCLUDED: Plain White Dress Shirt – Button cuff (no French cuffs – no button down collar shirts) 
NOT INCLUDED: Black Socks and Plain Black Shoes, Official Fourth Degree Lapel Pin (#PG-113), Incumbent Medal of Office, Past and Former Miniature Medals above left pocket. Sword, baldrick, gloves.

For exemplifications, candidates will wear dark-colored suits (black, blue, gray) with a white shirt and a muted dark necktie and dark shoes. Tuxedos are not required but can be worn instead of a suit.  
 

Q: Can the old regalia still be worn?

A: NO, However, you may still be present at certain turnouts in the "Social Regalia" and sit with your fellow brothers. Please check with your Captain to see when this is possibile.

Q: How will rank be distinguished?

A: Colored patches will be worn on the beret behind the Fourth Degree emblem as follows:

• Dark Blue Supreme Master
• Light Blue Vice Supreme Masters
• Gold District Masters
• White Faithful Navigators
• Green District Marshals
• Purple Color Corp Commanders

Those not holding office (who formerly wore red capes) will wear berets with no patch.
